The game has no gripping story or voice acting but still it can be fun. The multiplayer is dead unless you find someone on the forums to play co-op with. The game reminds me of Alien Rage probably because it's using the same engine (Unreal 3). I got it dirty cheap from a bundle and I have no regrets, but paying the full price seems a bit pointless to me. PS: The game has an open-ending. There could be a sequal made in the future, but I doubt it.. Okay, this game is actually fun. Some moments I didn't enjoy but overall, it was enjoyable. Now to list the upsides and downsides to this game:+Unique weapons+Interesting flashbacks+Mini-guns-Some bosses are impossible to figure out-Grenades are hard to throw decently because there's no arc shown on how you're throwing it-Game is short, beat it in a day-Ending is lacking+Replay for more info+Interesting twist of events+Are you the good guys or the bad guys?Overall, 8/10.I enjoyed this game a LOT.. For the budget price the game sells itself for ($8), Scourge: Outbreak is a very solid shooter with plenty of content that you'd expect in budget $20 titles. The campaign's straightforward, but the moot voice acting and somewhat interesting backstory of Amp and Shade keeps it fresh enough. MP's straightforward as well. Gameplay's very solid, and unlike most shooters this one gets the traversal aspect down pretty well. Commanding squads in SP seems to be my only gripe, as your team seems to take minutes to kill off enemies when you could just dominate the map head on (this is even on Nightmare Difficulty.) I applaud the devs for their second attempt at reinvigorating the game with this release, and for the budget price, it's definitely worth your time. Play with friends!. Very good game, one of the best third-person shooters, excellent graphics with solid gameplay, a bit off on the voice acting and lip sync but i don't mind. 8\/10. This game is for pc/ps3/Xbox360,and this pc version comes with the orginal scourge games.Scourge Outbreak does not try to trick you or lie to you in anyway,this is something that I am glad I can say with a smaller company,hell even big companys do this with fake gameplay and other crap.With this game you get what you see,and what you see is a coop third person shooter,and that is what this is.In Scourge you are allways in a team,if its AI or other players you are with a team of 3 other people,while playing this game you are never alone.That being said this game is not a game with loads of things you need your coop pals for,this is no left 4 dead where you need help to deal with the enemys,really you only need the help to deal with the huge numbers of enemys.This game is more like gears of war where you have a team of soilders with you that are helping you fight off enemys,unlike gears how ever this game is much more small scale,and takes place on one island that you get to know.This small scale helps the game in my opionion.The story is light and if I say anything I can allmost call it a spoiler but the game has you going to this island in order to stop some big mega coperation from doing bad things.Thats the story! But to be honist its not that bad once it gets going I simply cant say much more,but one of the main voice actors is really good and you might noitce him from risen 2 or maybe the orginal gothic if you are really cool.I dont know anything about the main 4 team mebers but they range from good to pretty bad in the case of shade.But if you play this game with friends these team members dont need a ton of talking because you will be talking amougst each other,so its good if you are making a coop focused game to not force a ton of story on you.While a game like fear 3 might try to tell you a story when all you want to do is kick♥♥♥♥♥or brink might try to tell you a story when you just want to frag noobs,outbreak knows what it is,and what it is,is damn fun.For 8 dollers how can you go wrong,even though it has only a few guns it plays easly as good as gears of war even if its not as refiend.If you can buy a new call of duty every year then this games similer stuff wont bother you to much.If you got friends then this game is going to be great no matter what,but this game still plays good in single player,its a tad bit easy on the casual mode but thats becasue its for casual play,if you got a full team of friends you will want to push that up to hard mode.This game is not only a campagin though it has a deathmatch mode as well,its good and all but really what stands it out is that they have added bots post relace and that is damn amazing.While a online shooter like rekoil has no bots and is now a worthless game,this single player and online game does not want the lack of a playerbase to make that part of the game worthless.And consdiering they have a dlc for online maps I think this is a great call.This is a good game with great devs,and even though the game has a cliff hanger ending,it is new and has promice so I hope it has a sequal.If you like shooters and if you like coop then this game should not be passed up.
